Bernie might not be the one taking the decision over the matter as he is involved in an alleged bribery scandal that saw Gerhard Gribkowsky, a former German Banker being accused of receiving bribes from the president and CEO of Formula One Management.
Though Bernie has not been charged in Germany but he is facing a lawsuit in the United Kingdom. This lead to a wide speculation of Justin King being considered the successor to Bernie.
Justin King, the CEO of Sainsbury’s chain for nine years is a known Formula One enthusiast. The British Businessman’s son is racing in this season’s European Formula 3 series.
However, the Guardian newspaper quoted Bernie say,
“I’ve no idea whether the boss of a company like Sainsbury’s could do my job. Maybe he could.”
