This conversation has gone on for months now, and it is unlikely to stop anytime soon. Just like September 2022’s abundance of easy Trophy releases, October has added dozens of simple and cheap Platinums for gamers to pad their stats with. For those looking to play some easy Trophy titles after going through a big AAA game, or for players who simply find easy Trophy hunts relaxing, the following titles could be worth a look.

Breaking Down The Easy Trophy Games of October 2022

Trophy hunters that have experience playing titles with laughably easy achievement lists should recognize a few of the series mentioned above. All the “Quiz”-related games have Trophies that pop instantly if players spam the triggers on the DualSense, while the Our Church titles require pressing X and walking forward. The “Jumping” series sees players holding down a button, with the “Turbo” versions costing more in exchange for the prop jumping faster - slightly speeding up the Platinum process. The “Stroke The Animal” games are essentially the same concept, as are The Pong P and The Capybara P.

For those unfamiliar with the “Story” series, the Rice and Halloween games will essentially provide the same gameplay. Players will tap a button to grow some crops and then upgrade their factory to grow crops at a quicker rate. Once they make enough money, the Platinum will unlock. For those looking for an extra simple Platinum, and one of the cheapest of the month, the one-minute run through United States Capitals could be the move. Players simply need to click on some States to answer some easy questions, speeding through the Trophy list toward the Platinum.

There are a few other things worth noting about this month’s lineup. For starters, it is easy to realize that Halloween recently took place, as a number of games are themed around the spooky season. For those who already miss costumes, candy, and scares, Bones of Halloween could be worth a try. Players can complete it twice for two Platinums, getting more out of their $5 thanks to its cross-buy status. Additionally, gamers only looking for the speediest Platinum Trophies should be wary of Mighty Math. While it can theoretically be done in 10 minutes, it can also take an hour, as a lot of RNG and math skill is involved. For gamers light on time, or those who want something risk-free, one of the quicker Platinums may be worth grabbing instead.

Though these games will not provide progress toward PlayStation Stars levels, as none of the Trophies are rare since they are so easy, they will help players reach higher Trophy levels. For those willing to spend a bit of money, they can have a far easier path toward level 999, as the Trophies in a cheesy game like Mermaidio are worth just as much as those in God of War: Ragnarok.
