The Eagles had been hopeful Carson Wentz, who tore his ACL in December, might be available to play against Atlanta.
Foles stepped in as the Eagles’ starter after Wentz went down and threw for 971 yards and six touchdowns in the playoffs.
He was named Super Bowl MVP after leading the Eagles to a victory over the New England Patriots by throwing for 373 yards and three touchdowns.
“Nick Foles is the starter and we have complete confidence, obviously, in what he can do,” Pederson told Philadelphia’s official website.
